Aunt Margie and Cathy: I was deeply saddened to hear about Lu. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I will never forget all the great times we had on Orchard Avenue.I remember all the ice cream cones from Mister Softee and the tons of potatoes we use to cook., Aunt Margie, you thought we would turn into a potato.Lu would just laugh and say "no doubt." She was indeed one of a kind.

The last time we were all together was at Kristina and Don's wedding. What a fun, happy day that was. Lu came over to our table and we chatted like we had been friends forever. Good times. You and your beautiful smile will be missed, Lu. Hugs and prayers to the family. Enjoy your Christmas at Gods table in Heaven this year. See you on the other side.

Lu was always a bright spot in any day. Though it was a number of years ago, I recall that working with her was not only fun but she was a woman of integrity and knowledge. It is sad that she has left us, but an honor to have known her.

Dear Family and Friends , This photo is how I remember Lu. Always cheerful , easy to laugh , uplifting , and a true joy . She and her home where many times a comfort to me . The years I lived next door and another time just down the road from her were taken for granted . She truly will be missed .
My thoughts and prayers are with you Marge , Wally , Lucas , Jacob and The Many who mourn the loss of our Dear Lu . Sincerely and with much love , Karen Asbury

Lou was a special person. I graduated with her from Handley in 1969. We shared classes and friendship and laughs. She was a kind and friendly person and she worked hard. She will be missed. Her long battle with cancer which she approached with great strength and faith is over and she is now at peace resting in the arms of our Lord.

We'll so miss Lu's beautiful smile...her poise.... the gracious way she lived life that was all so giving, never asking for anything in return. There is an empty chair now at our BRAR BOARD table that cannot be filled. We are shedding our tears and we will mourn for her, but we will also smile and laugh in rememberence of our friend Lu and the way she celebrated life every day. That I feel is one of her cherished legacies...we will smile when we remember her life and the friend she was. Lu, you will always be tucked away in a corner of my heart to brighten each of my days.

Lu was one of the first people that I met when I moved to Winchester from Oregon in 1974. We were both very young adults and even though we would be out of touch at times as our lives changed, we always picked right back up where we left off when we saw each other again. I miss Lu so much and will always remember her as one of the sweetest friends that I had in Winchester, with such a beautiful face and personality to match. May she rest in peace.

Lu was the friend everyone wanted--happy, funny, loyal, kind, encouraging, thoughtful and generous. I know that God's arms were open wide to receive her in heaven. It was an honor to know that I was her friend. I will miss her.
