Wilmpje Ann Long Knowles “Billie Ann” passed away on October 5th at Greenfield Reflections in Strasburg Virginia.
She was born in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1926.
She is preceded in Heaven by her loving husband of almost 65 years Frederick S. Knowles Sr. She is survived by her three sons and family, Fred Jr. and wife Patricia and grandson Robert; George and wife Cindy and grandson Bryan, his wife Heather and two great granddaughters; and youngest son Bill.
She spent her retirement years in Star Tannery where she supported the community in many ways. She and Fred were in charge of the 911 mapping of the community and was active in the Fire Department Auxiliary, at the polls and the Apple Butter Boil. She also enjoyed cross stitch and the Hummingbirds that made their yearly visits.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Knowles and her husband Frederick on Friday October 17, 2014 at 1:00pm at the Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with visitation at 12:00pm. Celebrant Joseph R. Dilleree will preside over services. Following the Service all are invited to a reception at the Omps Funeral Home Reception Facility.
