Willis R. Conard, 89, of Winchester, Virginia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 9, 2015.
Mr. Conard was born in 1926, in Rio, West Virginia, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Conard. He was a retired production worker with ABEX in Winchester. Mr. Conard was a Veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed reading his Bible, gardening and cooking. Mr. Conard was a member of the United Automobile Workers.
He married Elizabeth Gray on January 22, 1951, in Winchester, Virginia. She preceded him in death on January 7, 2008.
Surviving are his daughters, Marsha Conard of Winchester and Karen K. Clark (Bruce) of Gerrardstown, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Millie Conard and his son, Keith Conard. Willis was the last surviving sibling of his family being preceded in death by five sisters and seven brothers.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 3:00-5:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Monday at Shenandoah Memorial Park Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
