William Thomas “Bill” Herbaugh, 60, of Augusta, West Virginia, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at his home.
Born February 20, 1966, in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of Jacquelyn Mae (Fenneman) Herbaugh and the late Howard Edward Herbaugh.
Bill worked as an electrician for Grable Bros. in Edinburg, Virginia. He was a member of Laurel Hill Christian Church in Strasburg, Virginia. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and was a proud member of the NRA. He also loved music and played bass guitar in a band known as Crosstones. Known to many as “Bill” or “Billy,” he will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, music, and the time he shared with family and friends.
On January 11, 2026, he married Joy Elizabeth (Williams) Herbaugh, who survives him.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughters, Katie Lynn Herbaugh of Tom’s Brook, Virginia, and Sarah Mae Herbaugh of Woodstock, Virginia; stepchildren, Zachary Crouse of Pensacola, Florida, Matthew Hollar (Shannon) of Reidsville, Georgia, Caitlin Hollar (Daren) of Gore, Virginia, and Amie Pilgrim (Jarrad) of Fort Washington, Maryland; grandchildren, Keegan-Michael, Kinslee, and Dominic; step-grandchildren, Jackson, Hayley, Christian, Antonio, Owen, and Charlotte; sister, Susan Ritter (John) of Front Royal, Virginia; and brother, Mark Herbaugh of Jacksonville, North Carolina.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Hill Christian Church in Strasburg, Virginia, with Pastor Wayne Racey officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church.
