William R. “Billy” Jackson, 86, of Martinsburg, WV, formerly of Winchester, VA, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020, at Willow Tree Health Care Center in Charles Town, WV.
Billy was born in 1934 in Winchester, VA, son of the late Gilmer and Della Jackson. He attended John Handley High School and was a Painting Contractor, retiring in 1996. Billy enjoyed attending Handley High School and Shepherd College football games. He was also a huge fan of Notre Dame. Billy also loved taking walks and riding his bicycle.
His wife, Freeda Rinker, whom he married in 1963, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his daughters, Rhonda Bayne (Barry) of Bunker Hill, WV and Sherri Carter (Randy) of Winchester, VA.
Along with his parents and his wife, Billy was preceded in death by his siblings, Esta Jackson Scottherine, Celine Jackson Swiggett, Richard Page Jackson, and Charles Robert Jackson.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, services for Billy will be private. He will be buried at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Billy’s name may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
