I unfortunately met Mr. Buhl when he was a patient at Winchester Medical Center. Even though we met at a time when he was very ill, it was a great honor to meet him. I loved hearing his recounts of his time in the military - especially the days leading up to landing on the beach on D-day. What an amazing and brave soul! God bless him for his service - may he rest in peace. Heather Buonocore, PT

Dear Shelby, I just heard today that your Dad and my beloved friend passed. He was such a joy to know and care for during his stay at Heritage Hall. Since I only work PRN & have not been there, I was waiting on his return. You are certainly in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so upset I did not get to say goodbye to such a special person. He will always be remembered and I know the Lord is with him and he is looking down on us. Again, God Bless! Nancy Pearson. 3-11 Charge Nurse, Front Royal, Va. 22630

What a good man Nelson was. After I left Heritage Hall, I often thought of what a joy it was to help take care of him. He was not a patient, he was a friend. I still have the snowman mug he bought me for christmas. I consider it the nicest token of gratitude anyone could give me. Just a mug, but a reminder that what we do is appreciated. I miss hearing about his stories of hunting deer and running his store..............I will truly miss him. i only recently heard of his passing, and am upset with myself for not having gone by to see him more. I will drink a Coors tonite in his memory! God Bless your family Shelvy! Bradley Long, CNA, Heritage Hall, 3-11, 11-7.
