William Lee Jenkins

William “Bill” Lee Jenkins, 81, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Jenkins was born in 1930, in Frederick County, Virginia, the son of the late Elmer and Rosie Jenkins. He was a production operator with ABEX, retiring in 1997, after 29 years of service. Mr. Jenkins was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid NASCAR and MoPar enthusiast.

He married Janet Louise Dennis on April 4, 1953, in Hagerstown Maryland.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Mary J. Sions and her husband, Roger, of Frederick County, Virginia, Diane L. Dove and her husband, Randy, of Rio, West Virginia; son, Roger L, Jenkins and wife, Nancy, of Frederick County, Virginia; grandchildren, Keith Sions and wife, Allison, Suzanna Rae Barb and husband, Jerry; two great grandchildren; Mason Sions and Kyle Barb; and his sisters, Joyce June and Debbie Rankin of Frederick County, Virginia.

Two sisters, Frances Elliott, Kinswell Kump and three brothers, Edward Jenkins, John Jenkins and Robert Jenkins, preceded him in death.

Services with Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel will be private.

Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
