William “Bill” Friend Snider, 85, of Winchester, Virginia (formerly of Wilkins Township, Penn Hills, and Plum Pennsylvania) passed away after a long and fulfilling life on December 14, 2022.   Bill and his wife Judy shared 64 years of marriage, building their family to include children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren.  Bill completed a 37-year career with Peoples Natural Gas Company and Dominion Energy.     He was a member of the 32^nd Degree Freemasonry and Shriners.   Bill also loved spending time at “the farm” and with his grandchildren.

Bill passed away peacefully at Winchester Medical Center and is survived by:   his wife Judith A. Snider and their children William F. Snider, II (Susan), Kimberly K. Markijohn (Albert), and Allison D. Schwartzmiller (Dennis).   Also included are 5 grandchildren:   Megan Schwartzmiller Beatty (Chris), Erin Schwartzmiller Blum (Craig), Aria Markijohn Vasbinder (Thomas), Evan Schwartzmiller and Kate Schwartzmiller; 2 great-grandchildren:   Madison Blum and Penelope Beatty; and 3 step-grandchildren:   Nick Manning (Laura) [Stepson of Bill Snider, II], Andie Markijohn Byron (Mike), and Jason Markijohn (John) [stepchildren of Kimberly].   Bill is also survived by his brother, Thomas Snider.       Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Friend C. and Nelle P. Snider; his sister, Jeanne Snider, and his brother Richard Snider.

A private burial is planned.   Bill’s remains will be returned to his roots in West Virginia and buried in a local cemetery, near family.
