William E. Hughes
William E. “Bill” Hughes, 64, of Stephens City, VA, died Friday, February 15, 2013, at his home. He was born in 1948 in Parkersburg, WV, the son of the late William Leonidas and Annabel Mae Hughes. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School. He was self- employed as a paving contractor and was a member of Fishnet Christian Center in Warren County.
He married Sandra Lewis on February 16, 1991 in Front Royal, VA.
Surviving with his wife are his daughters, Angelina Hughes of Louisville, KY, Amanda Strawderman and husband, Michael of Winchester, VA, Christina Paris and husband, Greg of Rochester, WA, and Cassandria Gantt of Stephens City, VA; sons, William K. Hughes and wife, Marie of Winchester, VA, Nathan Hughes and Damien Kennedy, both of Stephens City, VA; ten grandchildren, Antonia, Billy, Tyler, Kristina, Michael, Jacob, Hannah, Alyssa, Adrianna, and Logan, his great grandchild, Charleigh, sister, Ann Bennett of Placerville, CA, and brother James Hughes of Strasburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Ann Kinder Hughes on December 31, 1986 and a brother, Edward Hughes.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Fishnet Christian Center, 706 Rockland Road, Front Royal VA, with a covered dish meal immediately following. Interment will be private.
