4674 WESTHAMPTON So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. As a young engineer just starting out in 1968, I worked closely with Bill at the Night Vision Lab on the development of the WORLD'S FIRST NIGHT VISION GOGGLES from 1968 - to first fielding for the Soldiers in 1973. Bill was an outstanding technical guy and a good friend with a great sense of humor. I have many good memories working with him in the Lab and during night testing in the field at A P Hill. Did you know that he had only ONE GOOD EYE??? ...and the Night Vision Goggles was a two-channel system!...:) :)...didn't bother him or us a bit....he was excellent! God Bless him...I am grateful to have known him. Condolences to his dear family. Jeff

So sorry to hear of Bills passing. I always greeted him as "the ice cream man" because he served the ice cream at all the Knights events. Will miss his lovely smile.
