Sending my condolences to the Seldons on the loss of their husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Seldon was a rare gentleman of grace, intellect and service. My father, a local Winchester attorney, spoke highly and fondly of Mr. Seldon. I recently discovered somenotes that Mr. Seldon wrote to my brother, Bryan, who passed away in 1987, congratulating him on various golf tournament wins. So heartwarming that such a busy individual would take time out of his day to write to a local young athlete. I also had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Seldon with his wife and daughter Bev at various theatre performances in Richmond, Virginia, where I now live. He was always kind and seemed so happy and definitely proud of his grandson Chase who directed many shows in Richmond. Peace be with his family, especially now that they cannot honor him and his life in the way he deserves but I know that day will come, hopefully soon. God bless.

Ronnie Rinker left a message on April 17, 2020:
I first met Wendell as a Junior in High School when the James Wood Colonels basketball team '64-'65 played in the State Championship game at Virginia Tech. He was the referree. Later, I served under him in the Guard when he was a General. Then, one of his sons became a brother-in-law and I got a chance to interact more with Wendell. And, when he was appointed to a high position in Richmond by the Governor, I had more opportunities as a State employee to see him in action. Finally, when he and wife Barbara entered Assisted Living in Richmond, I visited with them several times over his final year. We have lost a decent man who left this world a better place because of his presence. Ronnie Rinker
