Our sincere condolences to you all. I got to know Mr. Greene in the 1980s via my friendship with his sons. Very kind, always a gentleman. RIP.

Warren and I were good friends at VPC. We pulled a “shtick” many Sunday mornings before other unsuspecting members, where I would ask 6’3”+ Warren “if he played basketball”? He would reply to my 5’5”+ self with, “did you play miniature golf”? This made the listening church members cringe with angst. Warren would then regale me with the benefits of his being a member of the “Tall Mens Club”. Every time I would ask if I could join and his standard reply was, “you don’t measure up”! Again nearby members would cringe. We enjoyed each other’s company and he will be missed. By the way when I pressed him on why he’d join the Tall Mens Club he’d quietly say, “to meet tall women”. RIP Warren.
