Walter Edward Bassford, 93, of Frederick County, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at his home.

 

Mr. Bassford was born in 1927, in Arlington, Virginia, the son of the late Olga and Robert Lee Bassford.  He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  Mr. Bassford retired from American Funds in the Computer Technology field.  He was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed reading.

 

His wife, Marilyn Broder Bassford, whom he married on June 27, 1976, in California, survives him.

 

Services with Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel will be private.  Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
