Romona Sandefur

Virginia Romona Sandefur, 70 of Frederick County, VA, died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at her home.

She is survived by her husband, J.B. Sandefur, to whom she married for 52 long and happy years; a daughter, Ginger Gray Wilhoite, and her husband, Gene Wilhoite, Jr., of Ashburn, VA; and three grandchildren, Gene Wilhoite III, Travis Wilhoite and Tyler Wilhoite. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Graves.

Mrs. Sandefur was born in Memphis, TN in 1939, the daughter of the late Minor and Aylene Graves. She attended Opequon Presbyterian Church where she shared her vocal talents and enjoyed working with the children.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Opequon Presbyterian Church with the Reverend David Witt officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Spring City, TN.
