Virginia Kaiser Hagerty

Virginia Kaiser Hagerty, 89, of Stephens City, Virginia died Friday, September 3, 2010, in Blue Ridge Hospice.

Mrs. Hagerty was born in 1921, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late Charles Kaiser and Sophia L. Kaiser. She was employed and retired from the Interstate Commerce Commission for 35 years. Mrs. Hagerty was a member of the Virginian Republican Party, Meals on Wheels , Music Guild and a volunteer at the Red Cross. She was a graduate of Fairfax High School.

Her husband, George Hagerty, preceded her in death.

Surviving are her sons, Charles Coulter and Robert Coulter both of Stephens City, grandchildren, Shelley Coulter Tucker of Shallotte, North Carolina, Robert Douglas Koziarski, Caleb David Koziarski, Esther A. Koziarski; and three great grandchildren Peyton, Parker and Pressley Tucker.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Mr. David A Owings officiating. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, at 2:00 PM on October 13, 2010.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 10, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
