While I did not know Virginia, I wanted to pass on my condolences to the family. She seem like a grand lady! I am distant relative of her husband Wilson C. Dickson, Jr. (1st cousin 2x removed) and was researching & building out my family tree when I came across this notice. Wilson Jr's father, Wilson Sr., was my Great-Granduncle. Both my father, Thomas L. and Wilson C. were born on Neville Island the same year 1917, my Father being 5 months older. Again sorry for your loss, but what a wonderful life she had!

David, Lloyd and the entire Dickson family, I am so very sorry for your loss. What a wonderful memory to cherish though, that she was able to be in her home at the beautiful age of 102. Losing a mom is, I think, one of the hardest transitions but the one which will yield unending memories and smiles. Y’all are in my thoughts! Richard

Dear Mary and Family, I read your mother’s obituary today. She was very special to me. Many of my favorite neighborhood memories include your mother. She was the Super Mom on Virginia Avenue. Please know that I’m sending my love and prayers to you. I hope that it is a comfort to know that she lived a long life that was filled with love and faith. Sincerely, Pam Roadley
