Viola Love Minnick
Viola Minnick, 85 of Winchester, Virginia, passed peacefully into Heaven on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Winchester Medical Center.
Ms. Minnick was born in 1924 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late Wilmer Lee and Sadie Mae Luttrell. Viola was a very proud mother serving as homemaker for many years. She was also very active with selling homemade pies from home, seasonal employment with Zero Pack, National Fruit, washing and ironing, and waitressing at The Elms Restaurant. She also was the co-owner of Toms Tavern in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
She was married to Charles Pete Dellinger, who preceded her in death in 1988 and later married Thomas J. Minnick, who also preceded her in death in 1989.
Surviving are three children, Phillip Lee Dellinger, of Winchester, Virginia, Diana Rae Rudolph and her husband “Gary” , of Star Tannery, Virginia, and Lynette Seabright and her husband Eddy; five stepchildren Larry Minnick, Ronnie Minnick, Craig Minnick, Linda Helfin, and Becky Evy, all of Martinsburg West Virginia; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Mandy, Katie and Joshua Dellinger, Jessica Rudolph, Autumn and Jared Seabright, as well as three great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
