Victoria Vance-Harrell

        Victoria “Vicki” Vance-Harrell, age 70, of Winchester, VA, died Friday, April 25, 2014, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Vance-Harrell was born in 1943 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late William and Cathryn Vance. She was a graduate of Greenwich High School in Greenwich, CT, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in English from Finch College in New York, NY. She earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT.

Vicki was a pioneer in interactive technologies at Apple, Sony & IBM. After retiring in 2000, she worked at Aging Together in Warrenton, VA.

She married David Harrell on June 14, 1981, in Portola Valley, CA.

Over the years she lived in Westport, CT, Mountain View, CA, as well as Warrenton and Winchester, VA.

Vicki was an avid animal lover and dedicated her free time to rehabilitating horses & working with children with disabilities through horse therapy.

Survived by her husband and two daughters, Elisabeth Abeson  (Michele Kelley) of New York, NY and Kristina Rhodes (John Rhodes) of Beaverdam, VA, two grandchildren, Mila Rhodes of Beaverdam, VA  and Christian Rhodes of Petersburg, VA, and a sister, Cindy Bulens (Peter) of Marysville, OH.   She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Vance.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
