Verlo V. Cutshaw
Verlo V. Cutshaw, 86, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Monday, February 8, 2010, in his home.
Mr. Cutshaw was born in 1923, in Greeneville, Tennessee, the son of the late Melvin and Pearl Cutshaw. He was the Owner and President of Allied Wood Products, Inc. in Stephenson, Virginia, since 1965. Mr. Cutshaw was a member of Word of Life Ministries where he was a Deacon and former Sunday School Teacher. He was a World War II Veteran having served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant.
He married Ida Aileen Whittaker on February 21, 1948, in Greeneville, Tennessee.
Surviving with his wife are his children, Janice Neff and her husband, Ron; Alan Cutshaw and his wife, Susan, all of Stephenson, Virginia; Randall Cutshaw and his wife, Dianna, of Morganton, North Carolina; grandchildren, Dawn Nickelson and her husband, Dave and their children, Aaron and Caleb; Michael Neff; Cassie Ogle and her husband, Bryan and their children, Logan, Luke, Mallory and Jackson; Travis Cutshaw and his wife, Kari and their children
Ana and Judah; Daniel Cutshaw and his wife, Angela and daughter Claire; David Cutshaw and his wife, Katy and their children, Eowyn and Genevieve Cutshaw, Jessica Roberts, her husband, Daniel, and their son, Dylan, Rebecca Cutshaw and Cynthia Cutshaw, and his sisters, Zella Broyles, Audrey Huff and Judy Davis all of Greeneville, Tennessee. One sister, Arlene Finkle and one brother, Raymond Cutshaw, preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Word of Life Ministries, 2560 Martinsburg Pike, Stephenson, Virginia with Pastor Ron Neff officiating. Interment will be private. Military Honor will be afforded by VFW Post 2123.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Cutshaw’s grandsons.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
