Vera E. Sabo
Vera Eugenia Stephanoff Sabo, 73, of Winchester, Virginia died Sunday, July 8, 2012 in the Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.
Mrs. Sabo was born in 1938 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late Eugene and Ariadna Stephanoff. She was a secretary with Postal Insurance and attended the Methodist church, having been raised in the Russian Orthodox Church. She was a graduate of Bethesda Chevy Chase High School in Bethesda/Chevy Chase, Maryland. She was a member and assistant treasurer of the Winchester Numismatic Society for the past seven years.
Mrs. Sabo married David W. Sabo on October 24, 1998 in Potomac, Maryland.
Surviving with her husband is a son, Lou Hash, and his wife, Pam, of Corsicana, Texas; five grandchildren, Anthony Hash of Corsicana, TX, Amber Hash Hardy and husband, Stephen, also of Corsicana, David McCulloch of Athens, TX, Matt Barnes and wife, Beth, of Waxahachie, TX and Michael Barnes and wife, Cara, of Wylie, TX, and a sister, Nina Holvey of Warrenton, VA.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home., South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
