Vallie V. Frank

Vallie Virginia Owens Frank, 78, of Winchester, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord, Friday, March 19, 2010.

Mrs. Frank was born in 1932, in Clarke County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Jesse Lee and Daisy Jane Owens. She was a homemaker and a member of Assembly of God Church.

Her husband, Townsend Sterling Frank, whom she married on November 20, 1952, preceded her in death on July 8, 1969.

Surviving is her daughter, Tambra Frank Derry; two sons, Michael Dale Frank and his wife, Robin, Eric Lee Frank and his wife, Kathleen, all of Frederick County, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Brandy and Josh Derry, Melissa, Vanessa, Shayna, Shelby and Berkeley Frank; three great grandchildren, Tyler, Ariel and Logan; her sister, Lena Mae Jenkins of Charlestown, West Virginia; and two brothers, Jesse Owens of Clarke County, Virginia and Doug Owens of Frederick County, Virginia.

Three sisters, Peggy Nadeau, Hazel Sanders, Helen Vorous and two brothers, Allen Owens and Frank Owens, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Dave Consolo and Pastor Darrell Waller officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Mike Hockman, Mike Combs, Frank Washington, Lewis Jenkins, Randy Kremer and Eddie Kerns.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
