Tuyet Dang Houston, 74 of Winchester, VA, passed away peacefully surrounded by immediate family on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.

Tuyet was born in Da Nang, Vietnam to father Đặng Quang Phi and mother Đào Thì Hý. She came to the U.S. in 1973 and met Roger Grant Houston, Jr. whom she married on July 19, 1975. Together they built a life in Winchester, VA. She retired as a Quality Control Auditor for Blue Ridge Industries and kept busy in later years as a friendly nanny. Tuyet enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, and keeping up with all her sports teams.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Grant Houston, Jr.; daughter, Tuyet Mai Houston of Suffolk, VA; son, Kevin Houston of Richmond, VA; brother, Đặng Quỳ of Da Nang, Vietnam; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins across the U.S., Vietnam, and abroad.

She is preceded in death by her son, Grant Houston.

Family and friends will be received for visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, June 22nd at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00pm (E.S.T.) at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, VA.
