I’m still in disbelief that the good lord needed a new Angel and he chose you. You and I have always been close since we were kids. You were not only my cousin, but a good friend. Whenever I needed you I knew you would be there. We shared a lot of laughs and tears together. Your sweet personality drew people to you. Angela left a message on January 2, 2020:
I have known Tonya since elementary days, always so calm and soft spoken (except those few times). When we split schools in the county it was hard to be without my friend.. we use to mail each other letters and visit when we could - there is probably a box somewhere with piles of them! Then Patience was born - she was so happy to be a mom! Even though there were some hard times for her at that point they didn't last long... there was this guy Robert I had several classes with and man did he fall for her.. she resisted for a while, only wanting to be friends but he kept asking - never gave up.. I remember one time in health class we sat by each other and he was saying how much he loved her and didn't know what he would do if she didn't go out with him, then she would talk to me about him then she finally gave in and they were in love. The wedding came a few years after and there was little Patience sitting on her mom's train. Tonya looked so beautiful and perfect, Robert was so proud.. Over the years we would catch up every now and then, btw....just say no to the fried fillets in the pan - they are not what you think they are! She would get that one :) .. Once Facebook came around and we all finally got on board it was easier to catch up and chat. watching Patience and Robert grow up to be loving caring individuals like their parents was awesome. I loved seeing how proud they were of their family. The family and love story we all want was right there. I will miss my friend, but i know we will meet again.
