Timothy Joseph Sullivan, Sr.

Timothy Joseph Sullivan, Sr. 64, of Cross Junction, Virginia, died Monday, July 12, 2010, in Blue Ridge Hospice.

Mr. Sullivan was born in 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of the late Stewart and Adele Sullivan. He was a retired Veteran having served as a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve. He also worked as Director of Program Management Division (DIOR) for the Office of the Secretary of Defense and as professor at the University of Phoenix. Mr. Sullivan was a graduate of the Annapolis Naval Academy, Class of 1969. He was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving with his significant other, Gina Widhalm, of Cross Junction, Virginia, is his son, Timothy Michael Sullivan and wife, Susan, of Tualatin, Oregon; and one granddaughter, Ella Lauren Sullivan.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010, from 2:00-4:00 PM with a reception to follow, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Military Honors accorded by VFW Post 2123.
