Timothy Curtis Lykins, 64 of Bloomery, WV, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.

Timothy was born in 1960 in Ohio, the son of Mary Lou Lykins and the late Melvin Lykins. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Christian Education and retired from UPS and as park manager for Jefferson County Parks & Recreation. Timothy enjoyed fishing, nature and was a woodsman. He was an avid Ohio State football fan. Most of all Timothy loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Carla Kay Lykins whom he married on August 3, 1984, sons, Brandt Lykins (Sidnee) of Newport News, VA and Evan Lykins (Amber) of Elizabethtown, PA; grandchildren, Nash Lykins of Elizabethtown, PA, Ainsley Lykins of Elizabethtown, PA and twin boys to be born in Newport News, VA; sisters, Rhonda Keslar of OH, Jo Ellen Record of GA, Gwen Shoemate of TN, Gina Brumlow of GA and his brother, Jeff Lykins of OH.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 1pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, 1600 Amherst Street, Winchester, VA 22601.

The family asks for no flowers but instead make a memorial contribution in memory of Timothy to Friends of the Cacapon River at cacaponriver.org and click on Donate.

Catla. Brandt and Evan, we are so very sorry for your pain and we love you so much. Only God can give you the words and comfort to get through this. Tim always made me laugh and smile. The Joy that came so easy from him reminded me of Papaw's Joy. We are praying for you all.

I am so sorry to hear of Tim’s passing, He was a neighbor in South Webster and a playmate for my kids growing up. Prayers for all the family.

I had the honor of getting to know Tim Lykins through his son’s, Brandt and Evan. He was an incredible role model. Many times Tim and Carla would allow us to camp on their property and you could find Tim around the fire with us. He was a great story teller and always had a spark of wisdom to lay on you during one of his adventurous stories. I truly appreciated getting to know him and seeing the two men he helped raise. I will always remember him as a Godly man that wanted the best for the people he was around.
