Thomas W. Gross

Thomas William Gross, 73, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, in his home.

Mr. Gross was born in Michigan, in 1938, the son of Mildred Gross of Tennessee and the late Dewey Gross. He was a retired from the Social Security Administration. Mr. Gross was of the Jewish faith. His wife, Joyce Gross, preceded him in death on December 26, 1990.

Surviving are sons David Gross and his wife Linda Smith of Edmonton, Alberta Canada; James Gross of Lafayette, Indiana; daughter Jennifer DeStefano and husband, Frank, of Winfield, West Virginia; grandchildren Julia and Carissa DeStefano.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Hillary Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
