Thomas Wayne Lunsford, 72, of Stephens City, VA, died on January 26, 2024, in the comfort of his home.

He was born on January 30, 1951, to the late Eugene and Ruth Lunsford. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sue Lunsford. He is survived by his brother Larry Lunsford; three children, Bridgette Lunsford and her husband James Poff; Jennifer Frey and her husband Matthew and Michael Lunsford; and nine grandchildren, John, Anthony, Jonathon, Vanessa, Sabrina, Colten, Noah, Andrew and Bowen, and two great-grandchildren, Carson and Oliver.

Tom was born and raised in Northern Virginia and spent much of his high school years in Ethiopia with his Mom and Dad. He returned to the US and met the love of his life, Sue, whom he married in 1972. Together, they raised three kids and ran an excavating company, working side by side for almost forty years of marriage. Tom loved music, and Sue loved to dance, reminding us not to take ourselves too seriously and to always enjoy the simple things and time together.
