Thomas Lee “Tom” Myers, 79, of Frederick County, VA, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Tom was born in 1946 in Great Falls, VA, son of the late Ella Mae and Thomas Leonard Myers. He was a graduate of Herndon High School, Class of 1964. During his working career Tom was employed at C&P, AT&T, and retired from Lucent after 30 years of service. He also kept the telephone system up and running for the Loudoun County School District for 22 years. Tom was a member of Winchester Church of God, where he volunteered at the food pantry. He previously attended Victory Church where he did a lot of street ministering. Tom loved baseball and was an avid Nationals fan. He was a simple man who enjoyed working outside, being on the tractor, and taking care of his property.

Tom married Janice Tincher on April 30, 1970, in Catharpin, VA.

Surviving with his wife is daughter, April Lee Myers; sons, David Tab White (Angie), and Richard D. White all of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, TJ, Emily, Anna, Trey, Megan, Caitlin, Ansleigh, and Kelli ; and great grandchildren, Willow, Benjamin, and Oliver.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 pm with Pastor Lenny Burdick officiating. A private interment will be in Union Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be TJ White, Trey White, Grant Johnson, Mike Lowe, Mike Tincher, and Tommy Schurtz. Honorary pallbearer will be Larry Crocker.

Jan and family, Tom was as close a friend that I ever had or probably ever will have. We came from similar beginnings, the same time in history and shared a unique "Telephone Language" that few others understood. I especially think of him when I am heading to the "Ridge" or going to work on the old car. I guess it is a guy thing to have a buddy to "Hang" with and to talk about days gone by or share happenings in our daily lives. My prayers are with you and the family and thank God that we all are left with memories that keep Tom's presence with us.

Years have gone by and we lost constant touch, but did NOT lose that feeling of family. Tom was always special in his own quiet way, He has lived a life that made all who knew and loved him....PROUD!!! God Bless.

Dear Jan and family, Bruce and I are so sorry that we can’t be with you in person today for Tom’s memorial service and to love and support all of you as you celebrate his life. I wish the family the very best in this sad day .I looked for Tom for years for him to join us at our class reunions.I located him last year finally and we were ablie to get together for lunch one day .It was a great day for both of us,he will be missed.God Bless

Hard to say condolences because you were the very best Christian man I ever knew. Wonderful husband, father, grandfather, etc. So pivitol in so many lives. You've touched so many hearts around you.
