Thomas “Tom” R. Burns

        Thomas “Tom” Raymond Burns, 70, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Monday, March 10, 2014, at the Winchester Medical Center.

 

Mr. Burns was born in 1943, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of the late Raymond and Caroline V. Burns.  He was a Veteran having served in the Army National Guard.  Mr. Burns was a fuel truck driver for Quarles Petroleum, Inc. in Winchester retiring in 2006.  He was a member of Little Mountain United Methodist Church and the Boy Scouts of America.

 

He married Barbara Ann Bradley on September 2, 1970, in Hagerstown, Maryland.

 

Surviving with his wife is his daughter, Lisa Marie Lineburg and husband, Mike, of Winchester; son, Thomas R.”JR” Burns, Jr. and wife, Tina, of Stephens City; five grandchildren, Ridge Campbell, Chase Lineburg, Christian Burns, Caleb Burns and Carson Burns; sisters, Helen O. Gibson of Cocoa Beach, Florida, Carol Ann Kendall and Fay Marie Brown, both of Winchester.

 

A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday at 2:00 PM at Little Mountain United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in Little Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Suite 405, Winchester, Virginia 22601 or Little Mountain United Methodist Church, 1474 Cedar Grove Road, Winchester, Virginia  22603.
