Thomas Michael Petruska, 69, of Lake Frederick, Virginia, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Mr. Petruska was born in 1946, in Troy, New York, the son of the late Gertrude and Michael F. Petruska. He was a graduate of Villanova University receiving a Bachelor’s Degree as well as receiving his MBA Degree from George Mason University. Thomas was the owner of a contract consulting firm until his death. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Tom will be forever remembered for his love of his faith, family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him throughout the years especially those within his Lake Frederick Community.
He married Kathleen Ann Collins on June 17, 1972, in Stamford, Connecticut.
Surviving with his wife is his daughter, Kerry Bitter and husband, Michael, of Winchester; and grandson, Shaun Michael Bitter as well as many close friends.
One son, Michael Terrance Petruska, preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Brendan W. Bartlett officiating. A reception will immediately follow the Mass at Omps Funeral Home Reception Center, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
