Thomas “Tom” Lewis Reardon, Jr., 85, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Reardon was born in 1932 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Thomas and Louise Reardon. He was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1951 and a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Reardon retired from Anderson Roofing and Sheet Metal after 32 years of service. After retiring he worked at Appleland Sports Center. He was a past member of the Kiwanis, enjoyed Nationals baseball and the Washington Redskins, golfing, and was inducted into the James Wood Athletic Hall of Fame. Mr. Reardon was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and attended Macedonia United Methodist Church.
He married Barbara Hannum on June 12, 1952 in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife of 66 years is a son, Steven Reardon (Tina) of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren, Matthew Reardon of Chesapeake, Virginia and Cody Reardon (Leanna) of Greenville, South Carolina; great granddaughters, Malia and Lily of Greenville, South Carolina; and special K-9 companion, Lacy.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 1 pm to 2 pm on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm with Pastor Mike Mayton officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, Virginia.
