Thomas John “Scotty” Hamill, 47, of Winchester, VA passed way Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at his home.
Scotty was born in 1972 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, son of Mae Hamill and the late Thomas Hamill. He graduated from John Handley High School and attended Lord Fairfax Community College. Scotty was a truck driver for Estes Trucking Company. He enjoyed watching football, going to the Cove, barbecuing, and listening to music (especially Garth Brooks and The Eagles). Scotty loved working on cars. In the past, he volunteered his time at Friendship Fire Hall. Scotty never met a stranger, that was just his personality. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving with his mother are daughters, Kaci Hamill (Cody Griffith) of Inwood, WV, Emma Hamill (Taylor Whitacre) of Martinsburg, WV, and Madison Smith of Winchester, VA; son, Justice Clark of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Margot Griffith and Ruby Whitacre; sisters, Cecilia Louise Hamill of Seattle, WA and Laura Hamill of Lancaster, PA; and aunts; Ellen Byrom, Louise Steed, Susan Taylor all of Fortson, Georgia.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, August 21st, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Donna Knight officiating.
