Celebration of Life
Thomas J St. Laurent, 55, of Stephens City, VA, formerly of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington D.C. He was born in Fall River, the son of the late Jean L. and Beverly A. St. Laurent. Thomas was a graduate of Somerset High School Class of 1986 and North Adams State College, Class of 1991. Tom’s outgoing personality and easy-going nature helped him in his long career in sales both in Massachusetts and in Virginia. Tom was an avid New England sports fan, and enjoyed watching and playing rugby. He loved anything to do with the Civil War and could talk about it for hours. He loved to talk on the phone or visit with family and friends. He loved rocking; and he loved a good lobster buffet! Tom was a loving father and grandfather; and he was so, so proud of all three of his children. Tom’s laugh will always be remembered by everyone who knew him.
Tom is survived by his wife, April (Williams); son Joshua St. Laurent and his wife Sandra of Somerset, MA; daughter Kyla St. Laurent of Fall River, MA; son Matthew St. Laurent of Stephens City, VA; grandchildren Mason, Addison, and Asher; brother James St. Laurent (Amy) of Assonet, MA; sister Mary St. Laurent Sheehan (Shawntel) of Moosup, CT; nieces and nephews Joycelyne, Jacquelyn, Kathryn, Megan, Hunter, and Scotty; two great nieces and a great nephew; along with numerous cousins who were close enough to be siblings. Tom is also survived by his mother-in-law Peggy Williams.
Somerset, MA – Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on September 22, 2023 at 10 am at St. John of God Church followed by interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Somerset, MA. All are also invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 5 pm at the Somerset Progressive Club in Somerset, MA.
Winchester, VA – A funeral service will be held at Omps Funeral Home and Cremation Center, South Chapel, on September 16, 2023 at 4 pm with visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
