Thomas F. Palmer, Sr.
Thomas Franklin Palmer, Sr., 72, of Stephenson, Virginia, died Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Palmer was born in 1942, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Lloyd E. and Catherine Palmer. He was employed as a senior warehouse lead person at Winchester Cold Storage, retiring after over fifty years of dedicated service. Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to so many. He will be forever remembered for his love of the great outdoors, fishing, grilling and Nascar. He was active lifetime member for many years as a volunteer with Friendship Fire & Rescue. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He married Patricia Keiter on November 28, 1980, in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife is his daughter, Melissa Ann DeGrange and husband, Rex, of Stephens City, Virginia; son, Thomas Franklin Palmer, Jr., and wife, Roxanne, of Stephenson, five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Puffinburger and husband, Paul, of Frederick County; brothers, James Palmer of Effort, Pennsylvania, Phillip Palmer of Winchester and David Palmer of Stephens City, Virginia.
One sister, Martha Ross and two brothers, Harry Palmer and Donnie Palmer, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Reverend Anthony “Pete” Wadsworth officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
