Theresa A. Green

Theresa Anne Sawyers Green, 49, of Lake Frederick, Virginia, died Monday, May 9, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.

Ms Green was born in 1961, in Quantico, Virginia, the daughter of Sylvia Sawyers, of Lake Frederick, Virginia and the late Rodney Stephen Sawyers. She was a school bus driver with Fairfax County Public Schools, having served for 10 years. She was a graduate of Culpeper High School, Class of 1980.

Surviving with her mother are two daughters, Ashlea Lundberg and her husband, Jeffrey, of Centerville, Misty Green of Manassas; her son, James Green of Manassas; three brothers, Russell Sawyers and wife, Wendy, of Linden, Rodrick Sawyers and wife, Jeanna, of Catlett and Rhett Sawyers and wife, Donna, of Cross Junction, Virginia; niece, Katherine Sawyers and nephews, Eric Halle and Mason Sawyers.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, at 11:00 AM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Charles Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA 22602.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2654 Valley Avenue, Suite B, Winchester, Virginia 22601.

Well I believe I had just met Theresa one time through her mother,Sylvia Sawyers a few years back. I am so sorry for your loss Sylvia. I know what you are going through too or atleast have simiilar situation for I lost my older brother, Jerry Cofield, almost 5 years ago this July 16th 2011. Jerry was my folks' first born and i know it is rough when you have to bury your own child before your time. My heart just goes out to you all the way my dear. Time does heal but it is still hard even after 5 years. Just put it in Gods hands and he will take you down the righteousness of healing. Amen. Theresa you were truly a very kind person and always had a story to tell..Always talked about your children and I know you loved them very much...We shared lots of good times on the bus and in th e woods at centreville highschool having a smoke break..When i found out you were sick it broke my heart and i knew I had to pay you a visit..So glad I did because I got to talk to you and see you laugh...You were taken away so soon but god has better plans for you..You are in heaven among many angels and no pain...I hope you rest in peace and I'm sure we will meet again in that afterlife...Love you girlfriend ,you may be gone but never forgotten

I have so many memories of Theresa (Reese). She was a one of a kind, and would help anyone. I have known her 5 yrs plus. I am so glad that we were able to meet in person, she helped me out when I needed it. Her trademark in the bingo rooms on pogo was that frightened one, we all knew when she did that, she was on to bingo. I could go on and on with my memories. I just know that when she passed on that I lost a very dear true friend, but she will always be in my heart. She was beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside.
