Terry Lee Hyatt, 65, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center.
Terry was born in 1953 in Gunnison, Utah, the son of the late Elmo and Lillis Hyatt. He graduated from Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove, California and earned an Associate’s degree in Business Management from Lord Fairfax Community College. Terry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and retired from Winchester Cold Storage with over 25 years of service. He had an overwhelming love for the outdoors and horses. If he could hunt it, fish it or catch it, he was game. His greatest passion and accomplishment were his children, Cynthia and Douglas. Raising them to succeed was all he ever wanted, then when he became a “Papa” his heart was full. Terry was a member of Opequon Presbyterian Church. A beloved husband, father, papa, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle that went home to be with our Lord and reunite with family members that passed before him.
Terry married Debbie Lynn Higgins on September 8, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Surviving with his wife of 43 years is a daughter, Cynthia Lee Terry and husband, Lindsey of Kyle, Texas and his son, Douglas William Hyatt and wife, Jeni of Chugwater, Wyoming; grandchildren, Jadon, Conner and Makayla Hyatt; and sisters, Marolyn Hyatt-Staffieri and husband, Dave of Ohio and Linda Hyatt-Jensen and husband, Donald of Sandy, Utah.
