Terry A. Davey, Sr.

Terry Allen Davey, Sr. 49, of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, died, Saturday, November 3, 2012, in Hampshire Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Davey was born in 1963, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Barbara Ann Davey and the late Grover Russell Davey, Sr. He was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1981. He was a truck driver for NFI Industries and a member of Church of Christ of Mountain View. Terry loved riding horses, fishing and hunting, and loved taking care of his little dog, “Princess”.

Surviving with his mother of Middletown, Virginia, is daughter, Brittany Nicole Davey of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son Terry Allen “T.J.” Davey, Jr., of Colorado Springs; step-daughter, Crystal Dawn Smith of Woodstock, Virginia; brothers, Steven Wayne Davey and wife, Mary, of Cross Junction, Virginia; Grover Russell Davey, Jr., and wife, Becky, of Middletown, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road 2nd Floor, Princeton, New Jersey, 08540.

I just found his obituary and am shocked he's gone. We were tight when we were kids and drifted away when I moved closer to DC. If Steve or Russell would like to stop by to talk I'm in the house I grew up in and would love to see you again. I worked with Steve and Terry on Mr. Hacks farm as a teen. His Dad and my brother were best friends. I'd like to think Terry and I were best friends for a few years. I was always hoping to run into him now that I'm back in town but I guess It's too late. I'm so sorry for our loss.
