Susan E. Ellinwood

Susan Emery Ellinwood, 65, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Friday, January 18, 2013, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Ellinwood was born in 1947, in Utica, New York, the daughter of the late Harold and Marie Emery. She was a graduate of Utica Catholic Academy and Utica College where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in English. Mrs. Ellinwood dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren as a homemaker. As a devout Catholic, she recently became a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester.

She married Alan Ellinwood on March 29, 1969, in New Hartford, New York.

Surviving with her husband, is her daughter, Tracy London (Alex), of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; sons, Todd Ellinwood (Virginia), of Arlington, Virginia, Matthew Ellinwood of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Joshua London, John Carter Ellinwood, Sophia London, Alexandra London, Harris Ellinwood, and Graham Ellinwood; and one brother, Peter Emery of Utica, New York.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, from 4:00-6:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Monday, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, with Father Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
