Summer D. Ostinato

Summer Dawn Ostinato, 14, of Cross Junction, Virginia, died Sunday, December 23, 2012, after a short battle with Leukemia, surrounded by family at her home.

Summer was born on November 10, 1998, beloved daughter of Patrick D. Ostinato and Misty D. Weaver-Ostinato. Summer was an 8th-grade student at Frederick County Middle School. Summer enthusiastically enjoyed many activities, including basketball, track & field, volleyball, and traveling. She was President of the Builders Club at school and a member of the Student Council. As an aspiring chef, she loved cooking and baking.

Surviving along with her parents of Cross Junction, is her step-father, Anthony Morelli, brother, Tyler Ostinato; step-brothers, Matthew Morelli and Anthony Morelli III all of Cross Junction; grandparents, Michael and MJ Ostinato of Milton, Delaware, Karen Larson of Burke, Virginia, Juanita and Jim Hendricks, Terry Weaver all of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; great grandparents, Shirley Weaver, Patricia and Robert Wasaff all of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Margo Ostinato of Springfield, Virginia; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 pm on January 5, 2013 at Frederick County Middle School Gymnasium, 441 Linden Dr, Winchester, VA. We ask that everyone wear something with Summer’s favorite color, red.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Summer Ostinato Fund c/o any Bank of Clarke County branch. Flowers may be directed to Omps Funeral Home.
