Hey “Bear”…..I was just looking up old friends when I stumbled across your funeral announcement. My deepest regrets to your family. I had some fine times with you in Arizona. I also remember visiting you at Fredrick Block when on a vacation with my family. You returned my phantom phone call in minutes. I’m sure you will be missed by all who’s life you came into. RIP bro….Mack
So very sorry to hear of your sad news Steve was a great guy I know he will be missed God bless
I’m so sorry 😢 for your families loss I just found out about it from my prayer list at my church Galilee Christian Church and I was shocked 😮 and surprised to hear this news I knew Steve from waiting on him at the bank I used to work for F&M Bank and BB&T at the time is the bank I worked for at the branch on Route 11 by Welltown Road at that time and I knew some of the rest of the family as well but I enjoyed getting to know Steve and he became a friend not just a client and he was a joy to know and such a good person and will be missed in the community as well as your family will greatly miss him very much but again my condolences to your family my thoughts and prayers will be with you during this time of great loss 🙏💔😢❤️🩹🤗❤️
My prayers and thoughts are with all the family. I remember Stevie coming over for dinner as well, and I also remember staying at my Aunt Jeanne and Uncle Ralph's home with my brother Robbie. Stevie was so kind and fun loving, and protective of us for we were very young. As we grew, I saw him as a strong businessman with a gentle heart. ❤️ Peace be with you.
Deepest sympathy to Debbie and the Slaughter family for your recent loss. But many fond memories will linger of Steve and our Miller family, especially those youthful escapades involving my brother Buck. Steve was extraordinarily helpful at Frederick Block when we re-landscaped the lake property a few years ago. A fine man, who went the extra mile, he will sorely be missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
As kids, we thought Stevie was a god! Good looking, athletic and smart. Dad used to bring him to our house on weekends from St. James for home cooked meals. I recall watching him play football there. He looked like his beautiful mother. All our sympathy to his family!! Peace…

Dear Debbie, Stevie, Steffany, Stacey and Family,
May you find peace, joy and strength in your memories of Steve ...
The beauty of a memory, is that it's always there.
When your heart is heavy, and your eyes are filled with tears ...
You can focus on a memory and travel thru the years.
Our deepest condolences to you and your family.
Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
I will always have such fond memories of Steve (Mr. Slaughter as I first knew him!) rooting on the Judges and just being a smiling face wherever I saw him. He will be missed and remembered fondly by all of us who knew him. My thoughts a prayers to all of you, Debbie, Steff, Steve and Stacey and all your family.
Thank you for the shared memories Steve. Forts in the woods (especially The Place) , high school shenanigans (the Enterprise) , exploring Arizona and Mexico together. Adventuring across the US and Canada in a ‘65 VW mini bus I will always cherish your friendship. May Debbie and your children and grandchildren take comfort in the fact that they could never have had a better Husband and Father
As you said to me with a laugh such a short time ago “LABASH forever!
I did not know Steve, but I have worked with Frederick Block and a handful of higher management who worked hand in hand with Steve. No one had a bad thing to say. If the success, culture and morals of Frederick Block are any representation of Steve, we lost a truly great man.

Steve was a good man and friend.
He always helped me in my masonry business and supported me in my music. Every time I’d see him he’d call me “Clapton.”
My prayers and sincerest sympathies to his family.
He will be missed.
Steve our beloved brother in-law fought long and hard to beat the cancer. Gil and I enjoyed talking to him last week. We love him and will miss him terribly. We will help watch over Debbie for you. Rest in peace.
