My Uncle Buddy was a great man. I have so many special memories growing up with him and Aunt Vicki. He tried to show me how to water ski and drive a boat, but most importantly he showed me how to be strong and confident in my faith and what it truly is like to share Jesus everywhere you go. What a disciple - I could listen to his stories over and over (and sometimes did, haha). I will miss him tremendously.

Mrs. Newlin, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Mr. Newlin. My mother, Charlotte Deal, was a classmate of his. She and I attended a class reunion that you hosted at your home; and others. You both were gracious and kind. We encounter “Budddy” on occasion while out and about and he always took the time to engage in conversation with us. You and your family are in my prayers and I hope you find comfort during this time. Deepest condolences, he will be missed.

Oh, Vicki. I'm so sorry for your loss but celebrate the lovely life Simon lived glorifying God. That is no small thing. You and I met at the Carilion Hospital ICU when your grandson and my husband had their traumatic brain injuries. You and Simon were a light of love for God then and I know that Jesus is holding him tightly in His arms as I type this message. Peace be with you and your family during this difficult time. Jennifer Littlefield Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways, submit to Him and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
