Shirley Faye Cornell (Stanley), 61, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Shirley was born in Pennsylvania in 1962, the daughter of the late Joe and Nettie Stanley. She loved shopping, singing and going on vacation with her husband, David. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, David Wade Cornell, whom she married on November 27, 1985; daughters, Lottie Lee, Sheila Cornell; sons, Liger Grady, Belcher Grady, Joseph Cornell, Albert Cornell, Tommy Cornell, Frank Cornell and Josh Cornell; grandchildren, Sheila, Paris, David G., Joseph, Jr., David, Jr., Isiah, Annmarie, Charlotte, Nettie, Teddy, Shirley, Farrah, Rocky, Selena, David C., Liger, Frank, Frankie, Joe, Savanna, Pricilla, Luke, Tommy, Josh, Sebastian and Auora; sisters, Patty, Lottie, Jet, Joann, Sheila, and Angie; brothers, Danny, Henry, Carl, Saul and Gus.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and daughters, Brenda Cornell and Shirley Grady.

A visitation will be held for Shirley on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 10am to 9pm with a service the following day, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 1pm, all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memorial Garden Cemetery in Kearneysville, WV. Officiating will be Pastor Carl Smith.
