Born August 25, 1943, in Winchester Virginia to parents, Charles Kercheval and Nacy Gano Kercheval. She attended elementary school in Winchester and graduated from Handley Highschool where she won her letter by playing field hockey. Upon graduation from high school in 1960, she entered the Nurses Training Program with the Winchester Hospital, graduating with a BS Degree in Nursing in 1964. Through the years she was a head nurse and also an OR Nurse for cardiology.
She met Robert Price in the mid-1960s, and they were married in 1970, afterwards flying with her husband in his plane to a small island in the Bahamas for their honeymoon. They were blessed with two sons, John in 1974 and David in 1976.
They moved to Stephens City in 1979 and became Members of The Shenandoah Valley Baptist Church.
She enjoyed family trips to Florida with their boat and touring the Everglades and free diving on the Atlantic reefs off the coast of Islamorada Florida Keys. After retiring she enjoyed flights with her husband to Destin Florida and other amazing trips, traveling together across the United States and even Costa Rica in 2013.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 6pm to 8pm with a service the following day Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11am all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor John Lock.
