Sheila Ann Jeziorski (nee Robertson), 81, of Columbia, SC, passed away on January 4, 2024 after a long illness. She was born on January 6, 1942, in Whitinsville, MA, to the late John and Edith Robertson. Sheila was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Sheila completed nurses’ training in 1962 and worked as a nurse in Massachusetts before marrying her late husband, Joe Jeziorski, in 1963. After their marriage, she became a dedicated homemaker and loving mother to their son, Peter Jeziorski, whom they adopted in November 1975.
Sheila’s faith was an integral part of her life, and she was an active member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Columbia, SC. She dedicated her time as a volunteer, working with the St. Francis of Assisi charity to create food baskets for the less fortunate and assisting with the church’s crisis hotline.
In her free time, Sheila enjoyed knitting prayer shawls and watching the birds outside her kitchen window. Sheila loved visiting with her grandchildren, chatting with the church ladies, and an occasional glass of merlot. She had a kind heart and a generous spirit and will be missed dearly by those who loved her.
Sheila is survived by her son Peter Jeziorski and his wife Kelly Mitchell, her grandchildren Avery, Connor, and Dashel Jeziorski, her brother Mike Robertson and his wife Ann, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Jeziorski and her sister Mary Robertson.
The family has entrusted her final arrangements to Omps Funeral Home in Winchester, VA. The family will have a private remembrance at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Leesburg, VA.
