Sharon Lehew, 64 of Front Royal, VA, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at her home.

Sharon was born in 1958 in Sebring, FL, the daughter of the late Reverend Wayne Prater and Barbara (Watkins) Fields. She was a graduate of Stuart High School in Stuart, FL. Sharon worked as manager at Pack’s Ice cream in Stephens City and attended Dynamic Life Church in Front Royal.

She is survived by her significant other, Joe Jakabcin; daughters, Angel Lynne Parker of Winchester, VA, Rebekah Dawn Carter (Patrick Lee) of Winchester, VA, Shannon Lehew of Martinsburg, WV; sons, Micheal Paul Prater (Edith) of Winchester, VA, Joshua Daniel Parker of Winchester, VA, Sean Lehew (Kelly) of Manheim, PA; grandchildren, Jamie James II, Nicholas Prater, Ryan Prater, Nathaniel Prater, Andrew Prater, Anthony Prater, Caitlin Brown, Aaron Hott, Troy Abrell, Seth Parker, Dylan Lehew, Kiara Lehew, Devin Hall, Emily Hall, Josh Hall; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lori Davis (Todd) of Bushnell, FL, Shona Lapsley (Ron) of Stephens City, VA, Nancy Fields of Florida; brothers, Jeff Prater of Hagerstown, MD, John Johns of Florida, Darin Prater (Brenda) of Inwood, WV, David Johns (Lori) of Hobe Sound, FL and her canine companion, Daisy Mae.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Gene” Lehew; step-mother, Georgia Prater and granddaughter, Brittany Prater.

A visitation will be on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm with a service the following day, Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 11am all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Officiating is Pastor Andy Combs.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sharon to Omps Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
