Sarah V. Pinn

         Sarah Virginia Dawson Pinn, 86, of Winchester, Virginia, died Sunday, November 9, 2014, in Evergreen Health and Rehab Center, Winchester, Virginia.

She was born in 1928, in Gerrardstown, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Harriet Dawson and John Myers.  She was a graduate of Sumner High School (later known as Ramer Memorial High School) in Martinsburg, West Virginia.  Mrs. Pinn was a housekeeper and later was employed at A&P Grocery Store and at Zero Pak.  She enjoyed bowling, cooking and playing bingo.

Her husband, Gouverneur Pinn, preceded her in death on June 18, 2008.

Surviving is her nephew, Dr. Ronald E. Tolson of Alexandria, Virginia, a number of nieces and nephews, and her good friend and guardian, Karen O. Shipp.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Pinn will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 20 at the Evergreen Nursing and Rehab Center, 380 Millwood Ave., Winchester, VA 22601.  Blue Ridge Hospice Chaplain Kenneth Patrick will be officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.  Mrs. Pinn will be inurned at Shenandoah Memorial Park.
