Sarah Michelle Ehrhardt (“Sarah Bear”), age 17, of Frederick County, passed away Sunday, August 8^th, 2021. Sarah was born December 5, 2003 the daughter of Paul E. and Debbie L. (Thompson) Ehrhardt.

Sarah was a rising senior at Eukarya Christian Academy in Stephens City and was a member of Winchester Church of God where she was very involved with the Media Ministry. Sarah was an avid reader and was often found spending hours in Blue Plate Used Bookstore. She loved spending time writing stories, snuggling with her dogs and laughing with friends and family.

In addition to her parents, Sarah is survived by her loving brother, Nicolas I. Ehrhardt and her loving grandparents, aunts, uncles and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service Monday at 2:00 pm at the Winchester Church of God, 2080 N. Frederick Pike, Winchester, Va 22603 with Pastor Darrell Waller officiating. Interment will be private.

Paul & Deb, we are so saddened to learn of the accident and Sarah's passing. Our thoughts and prayers to and for all. Our deepest sympathies. The Harrimans.

Your family was one of the first families we met when we moved to Winchester 6 1/2 years ago (at Homeschool P.E.) Sarah was such a sweet girl who was a friend to everyone. Her memorial service was a beautiful celebration of her life and her love for Jesus and others. May you experience the Lord's presence and comfort. We are praying for your family. My prayers and thoughts are with the family during such a difficult time.

Paul and family, my heart goes out to you. We are thinking of you and praying for you and your family.

This November marks 20 years that our daughter died in a head on collision. One of the most difficult part of her death was not being able to see her. Due to the circumstances of the accident we could not view her body at all and her casket was closed. My heart breaks for the pain you are experiencing. In a few months, when those who are supporting you through this horrific time start to get back to their routines and you feel completely alone, empty, angry, confused, and drained .. hang on. Talk about Sarah to everyone the funny, good and bad memories of her life. It’s part of your healing. And even though it seems impossible now, you will heal, slowly. I pray for comfort and peace for your family during this time and the times to come.

We are just heartbroken for you. We remember Sarah and your family from SAIL. We also remember Sarah when she played a year of soccer with Trinity. The road of grief is so hard and so long. May you walk with the Lord as you follow this road allowing Him to comfort you and bring you peace.

Rest in peace Sara, we will miss your smile. Prayers for the family and friends.

As a parent who has lost a child I am praying for you. Our daughter was 20 and passed in 2019. My God be with you and carry you through the coming weeks, months and years. I pray you find all the answers you are looking for. Take all the time you need to grieve and do not listen to those in the future that say stuff about moving on. It has been over two years and I still feel every bit of the pain. Do not be afraid to let your emotions flow it is okay. I think I cry almost everyday still at some point. Also you may want to find a Griefshare in a a few weeks, this helped me learn about the grief and what to expect at each stage. I will continue praying for your family. When I first read about this it brought me to where I was two years ago. If you need someone to talk to that has been there just email me. God Bless.
