Brown, Sally, Will. and Betsy. My prayers are with you and your loss of Nanee. I know all of you have many fond memories of times spent with her. I personally remember her and Brown's Dad at Hotel Roanoke and Shenandoah Club dinners held before the sacred marriage of Brown and Sally. I remember how happy they were for the coming marriage. I loved meeting them and remember their great personalities. You were certainly blessed to have them both into their 90's! We can all count our blessings this Thanksgiving 2015. Love to all of you, Ann

Dear Sally, Luke, and Brown, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your lovely mother/grandmother. I remember bringing Luke to his grandmothers after visiting us and she was always so gracious. She lived a long life which is such a gift to all. My heart goes out to you, Carla

I have heard of George Burton, Spencer Penn's beloved principal and then through the George Burton Scholarship, all my life. It was only after Spencer Penn closed as a school that I knew of what a wonderful lady his beautiful wife was. Spencer Penn Centre thanks Mrs. Sarah Burton for her generosity in donating a classroom to help us become what we have become today. She was one of the infamous angels that step up when we needed an angel. Brown, so sorry we couldn't attend the service but know you, your sister and family will be in our thoughts. You were blessed to have her so many years. God bless.
