Corky & Frances Richardson left a message on September 29, 2022:
It was such sad news to hear of Sam's passing from this world , but we know he is now in his eternal home in heaven. We were blessed by his presence at our 60th class reunion. Sam always had a "little" smile on his face. He was a gentle ,kind and compassionate man. Corky enjoyed working with him at the W. Cola. post office before Sammy graduated from UofSC. Our Deepest Sympathy

Sam and Kay were dear friends that we will always cherish. We moved to Chicago and were lost, lonely, afraid, and scared. It was our first move away from home, We went to church and met Sam and Kay and what a blessing. We only lived close to each other for 13 months but our friendship has lasted for over 40 years. Welcome home Sam. Tell Kay we will see her soon. This time it will be a homecoming and not fear. Love you all. George and Joyce

Heartfelt condolences to all of the Gunter family! What wonderful memories we have of both Sam and Kay from our time together at Boyce Baptist Church! We sincerely miss all of you and will always remember Sam and Kay for their sincere love of the Father, the kindness they always showed to all of our family (Church family also!), and the care they always gave to all those who around them! Never a judgement was shown; always a praise was shared! Steve & Bonita
