Samantha Lynn Tavenner Guerrero, 31, of Inwood, West Virginia died Sunday, September 4, 2016 in Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Samantha was born in 1985 in Winchester, Virginia. She was a graduate of Clarke County High School, Class of 2003. She used to work at McKesson in Clear Brook, VA. She loved to cook and try new recipes. Sam loved to surround herself with her friends and family. Sam was a very dedicated wife and mother. She loved to spend time with her children and take them to the “waterfall”.
Sam married Carlos M. Guerrero on April 11, 2009 in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with her husband is her father, Ronald Ashton Tavenner and his wife, Jeanette of Boyce, Virginia; biological mother, Lisa Barr of West Virginia; daughters, Tanesha R. Long, Karlita A. and Liliana F. Guerrero of Inwood, West Virginia; two sisters, Amanda Brito and her husband, Sebastian of Silver Spring, Maryland and Carrie Tavenner of West Virginia; brother, Dalton Dunn of Boyce, Virginia; grandparents, Ronald C. and Joanne Tavenner of Boyce, Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:30 am at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, Virginia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Tavenner, Earl Wiley, Sebastian Brito, Damon Mantz, Gene Tavenner, Michael Royston and Jamie Ware.
A Celebration of Life and light reception will follow the interment at Izaak Walton Shelter, 2683 Millwood Pike, Winchester, VA. Those who would like to provide a dish to share are welcome to take it there prior to the graveside service.
